What's There to Say

On a Monday that's a Tuesday. After merry-go-rounds of rain. Post-loud cracks of thunder. Past half-inch hail coasters. It's just one of those days.
Instead of dwelling on takeovers or what might be for dinner, I decided to write ekphrasic instead. This piece is about a photo I saw, which I will entitle, "Franz Kline's Long Lost Ladder". Here goes:
Folded, it leans in Hot Jazz respose next to one of Kline's unmistakeable milestones. Bold black stroke of genius, dripping historic. Renouned contribution. To art. And to modern.
Distinct and revered he brushed through expression. His action, reaction. Emotional canvas. Radical rungs in a post-painterly world, recently found in a basement somewhere.
It's said that a storm will still rain today's circus. And Newsom's trim ankles are causing a buzz.
